July 24, 20232 yr Hello, I have 5 HDD Seagate Drive in my arrary and a Samsung SSD. all in the same arrary. Is this bad?
July 24, 20232 yr Community Expert Solution Some would use the SSD as a cache drive. What you have will not break anything though.
July 24, 20232 yr Author I have a Intel Optimate SSD was a cached drive, and another 2.5 SSD in the array pool. Thanks
July 24, 20232 yr It will work for adding capacity, but the performance will be random. Files that happen to land on the SSD will perform differently than files that land on other disks. Still, no reason it wouldn't work. Edited July 24, 20232 yr by sphbecker
