August 29, 201114 yr Hi, I'm about to set up some shares and rules across drives and would just like to know if writing directly to a particular disk would be blocked if the size of the data wouldn't obey the rule pertaining to a shared folder on that disk? Or at least block the tail part of the data? Or does writing to a disk simply override any rules for folders on that disk?

Writing to a disk will bypass the User Shares allocation method and the like.
