Override allocation method by direct paste to disk?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm about to set up some shares and rules across drives and would just like to know if writing directly to a particular disk would be blocked if the size of the data wouldn't obey the rule pertaining to a shared folder on that disk? Or at least block the tail part of the data? Or does writing to a disk simply override any rules for folders on that disk?

Writing to a disk will bypass the User Shares allocation method and the like.
