Besides Movies and TV Shows I want to create a backup share with some documents, textfiles, etc. So nothing really huge.

 

What is the recommended split level for this scenario? Zero? Because I don't want separate files to scattered over all of the harddisks.

That is how i have mine.

 

use Disk 20, no cache, fill up, split 0, shared but hidden.

Then I manually made the backup folder.

 

I also have a task scheduled to start a robocopy script at 4AM to back up the folders i wanted copied to the unraid

 

I also have disk20 excluded from my media shares and it is a drive I trust.
