is it possible to passthought my GPU to my VM on my machine ?

Featured Replies

Hello Guys, it's actually my first post on this forum even tho I've been using unpaid for over a year or two now 😇
my question is the following :

on considering on building a new unpaid server using a PC with this specific configuration :

MB : GIGABYTE A520M K V2

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 5500, 6x 3600 MHz

GPU : Palit GeForce RTX 4060, Palit GeForce RTX 4060 StormX, 8 Go GDDR6, 1x HDMI, 3x DisplayPort

1000 Go M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD Kingston NV2 (read/write: max. 3500 MB/s | 2100 MB/s)

My goal is to create a windows VM with an NVMe GPU and CPU passthrough.
will that be possible ?

thanks !

Yes that will be possible.

Thanks for the fast reply !
I was a bit scared because I heard doing GPU passthought can really be a pain.

Do you know if there is any impact on the performance tho ?

Your server won't have that gpu once it is passed thru.
