I have installed Unraid on a 2nd system which is a vintage SuperMicro enterprise server.   I'm just toying at the moment with ZFS.  I've noticed that it's not got all of the ram available to the system.

Is this something to do with the 3ware controller or something else?  I know it's not a dedicated HBA, or a raid controller in IT mode but it looks to be working as expected but with no SMART attributes pulling through.  Should i scrap the card for something else?

20GB of RAM is a strange number, it would imply either a pair of 8's or a single 16 and a single 4 or a pair of 2's. Are you sure all the RAM is actually working as intended? What physical sticks are plugged in to which slots?

The bios can see it all.  I haven't tried reseating it.
