New Server, can only see 4 of 8 SCSI Drives

Featured Replies

I bought a new old server.  An HPE Proliant dl380 Gen10.  It came with 8 hard drives.  So far, I have only been able to see the same 4 drives.  I removed the working drives, added a new used LSI Raid card, and I cannot get these drives to work.  I see them listed in the system devices at the bottom under SCSI drives, but there is no size next to them.  Anyone have recommendations or experience with this?  I know the bays are fine.  The 4 working drives work in both the top and bottom bays.  I just cannot get these 3 drives to show up.  I did see them for a moment in the drive list, but they were embedded under one of the working drives.  When I deleted them to see if they would come back on their own, they did not.  There was no size on them at that point either.

You need to re-format to 512B, look for sg_utils.
