Heads up, this plugin version is not actively maintained. Folderview3 is where you will want to go for the latest requests https://forums.unraid.net/topic/197223-plugin-folderview3/

Kudos to you, man, for taking this on. Just making sure you actually WANT to. :D

FolderView is on very shaky ground right now. Though I completely understand the reasons behind it, development being dropped right as it breaks with a new version of unRAID coming out is the worst scenario. The brave person that takes it over is starting with quite a chore list.

A heartfelt thanks to anyone and everyone who is chiming in and offering solutions to issues. Hopefully FolderView still has a bright future ahead! I can't imagine Docker on unRAID without it!!! (And don't really want to imagine it!)

I'm pressed on time usually so I can't do as much as I would like or respond as fast as I would like. Knowing people waiting for it and so on adds to pressure... but I hope its just temporary time related to my work, and it will gets better, and in any case I needed it my self :D I got so used to the groups and can't imagine Unraid without it... but if Unraid team took over and just build it in I would not complain :D

@scolcipitato I'm very sad too see it go, so hopefully you do not mind. I did forked it and fixed it for v.7 of Unraid.  I'm not much of Unriad plugin developer ( at all lol ), but I love this pl

Hi, guys, it has been a while. I am sorry for the long absence, but I have important news regarding this plugin.   I have decided to move away from Unraid, (partly because of the new

I would love for it to be a built-in feature, for sure! Not gonna hold my breath though! :D

Hopefully more smart folks like yourself can contribute to your fork and FolderView can be stable and even gain new features again! I wish I knew more about the codebase and had more time, I'd certainly love to help!

Hear, hear.... This is begging to be included in unRAID. Looking at a long list of of dockers sounds like an ordeal. I use the Dockers page as my main unRAID page; meaning I have a pinned tab in my browser with the Dockers page. I just love looking at all these beautiful Docker apps...

We self-hosters don't just have 1, 2, or even 10 containers. We have a whole slew of them that fill the screen! I never want to go back to having a long list of them as it was before Docker Folders and FolderView! - an ordeal to say the least! :D Makes me shudder just thinking about it. Uuuuggghh

Yep it should be included in Unraid as integrated future as for me long time ago...

Another shameless plug to my animated FolderView icons... I have added a lot of icons over the past couple months:

Wow new icons, thanks for letting know

Ah, I see the blue collection is far larger than the others. Any plans to expand all colors to have the same icons?

The ones with the gradient backgrounds are REALLY hard to modify; takes me about 45 minutes for each icon... I have done the pale blue, blue, and yellow. I will look to see if I can streamline the method. In the meantime, if you have any favorites in the gradient versions, please let me know and I will focus on those first.

Same. Way too many to just have in one big list with no organization!!! :-D

I had a similar issue and it was because I'd saved the file from github using right-click save-as which looked like it had the right file extension, but actually had html as the contents. I needed to use github's "download raw file" button to get the proper contents and then it worked like a charm.

I'll give that a Go, thanks

I just tried to do a fresh install of this plug-in.

I copied the link from github to the folder.view.plg
Install went fine. Said it completed and installed the newest version.
No joy. Upon further inspection, it made a folder.view folder, added docker.json,vm.json and the folder.view-2025.02.26.txz file. It also made 2 folders scripts and styles. There are no other files. It did not extract the .txz file.

To make the plugin work, I had to manually extract the .txz file and upload all the files to the folder.view file and reboot Unraid.
The plug-in works, but the install needs some tweaking apparently.

hey @Khaosstormer you need to upload the .txz file BEFORE you install the .plg file, then it does the extraction of the .txz file. Then you use the plugin UI to import the JSON file, similar to how you exported it.

You cant just replace, because the plugin definition file have md5 of the files, however I tested your changes with the limited time I had and it did not break anything it seems in v7 at least my instance still works :D It might be now backwards compatible ? Try to install the version folder.view-2025.02.26.txz with the folder.view.plg in repo ( i just pushed it ) if that works on pre v7 unraid.

Cant install new version because the minimum version is still set to 7.0.

I could try removing that from the PLG file and try installing. Maybe ill give that a shot.

But it works with the V10.02 just fine on pre V7 unraid.

I updated to UnRaid 7.01 and I can't even export my previous folders. When selecting "Export All", the browser just opens a blank page and gets stuck trying to load "something" but it NEVER completes.  I'm holding in place now until next week to see how the further development of the fix comes along.

When I want to edit a folder group, this group is no longer loaded since Unraid 7.01. I have not been able to edit a group since then.

I have the same Problem I use the scolcipitato version ....
