July 28, 20232 yr Community Expert Hi, I wanted to post here before I did anything un-recoverable. I upgraded from 6.11.5 to 6.12.3, meant to do a backup before restart, got distracted and rebooted without backing up! (I know /smh) After reboot I could no longer get back into unraid OS, got UEFI warnings, tried disabling UEFI in the bios, could get the Unraid boot menu up again, but then it would just boot loop. I put the USB in my local PC and copied all files to a folder for safe keeping. Been unable to get back in, so I grabbed another USB and did a frash install on it, is there anything I can copy over from my "backed up" copy of the original USB to the new one to recover. I had a large disk array 2 parity+16 drives+4 NVME cache drives and 2 cache SSD so keen not too mess this up any more than I already have. i.e. Can I just copy the ./Config/* fodler from my back to the new USB? Thanks. Edited July 28, 20232 yr by emub additional question
July 28, 20232 yr Solution There should be a previous folder on the flash drive that contains the files that were replaced in the root. Either copy them back, or if you can't find a previous folder, download the 6.11.5 zip and get the root files from there. Don't overwrite anything in the config folder.
July 28, 20232 yr Author Community Expert Thanks, I managed to rollback to 6.11.5, will have to revisit an upgrade another time when do it in a more controled, secure way Edited July 28, 20232 yr by emub typo
