Slow Rebuild ? Or is it?

Featured Replies

Unsure if this is the norm, or because of V5 beta 12

Upgraded parity disk from 2TB to 3tb (took all weekend)

After everything was fine (rebooted etc)

Removed  disk3 (500GB) and replaced it with old parity disk (2tb)

The 500GB had not much on it (approx 100-300GB)

Starting to rebuid but its taking ages (see below)

Total size: 2 TB

Current position: 11.43 GB (1%)

Estimated speed: 11.31 MB/sec

Estimated finish: 2930 minutes

Is this normal ?

Server is a hp proliant microserver with 2GB of ram.

Attached is the syslog.

A little more info on the hp

More then 4 drives? If so add on sata card?

Are you using the cd bay for a disk? If so, are you using a hacked bios?

It seems slowish to me. But that might be the norm for that unit
