August 30, 201114 yr The parity drive in our array was removed while the array was running(not stopped first). Now when putting the parity drive back in, none of the shared folders are showing up and none of the data is visible. Will the parity drive rebuild itself or is there a way to fix this, or is there a way to get the data off of the drives?

Will the parity drive rebuild itself or is there a way to fix this, or is there a way to get the data off of the drives? stop the array. power cycle the server upon power up, the server may not start itself if the parity drive is still missing, but you can check the I'm sure box and start it. The drives should then mount and all your data should be there. Post a syslog (attach a zipped copy to your next post) if you still have issues. Joe L.
