Frequent Server Connection Drops - Need Assistance

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Since last night, I have been experiencing a recurring issue with my server's connection dropping every 30 to 60 seconds. When I'm in the GUI, it stops responding and then displays a "refused to connect" message. I've attempted both HTTP and HTTPS connections using both the hostname and IP address, but the behavior remains the same. The server connects initially but disconnects after a short period. Interestingly, I can observe it going offline and back online from the cloud.

I want to emphasize that I haven't made any recent changes to the server or my network; this problem started suddenly without any apparent cause. I've already tried restarting my DNS server and domain controller, but unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. Based on my investigation, I don't believe it's a problem with the network adapter, as other virtual machines on the same physical server are not experiencing any issues.

Furthermore, I noticed that the same connectivity behavior occurs when using SSH. However, when accessing the virtual machine's screen and using the command prompt there, I don't seem to encounter any issues.

I have also observed that the share's seem to be behaving the same way with windows suddenly saying the files or location cant be found.

Also continues pings to the server never stop during these "drops" in connection that seem to last 10 to 15 seconds.

To address the situation, I have restarted the server and applied all available updates. However, the log files I managed to glimpse before getting disconnected don't reveal any meaningful information.

I'm reaching out to this support board to seek assistance from anyone who might have encountered a similar issue or has suggestions on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem. Any help or insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

this is the log since reboot after update and this has happened several hundred times since then.
