Expose option to enable WOL in GUI

Featured Replies

Currently the steps to do so are outlined in here: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/guides/wol-setup-for-unraid/

It involves setting the g value to the WOL option to the interface using ethtool. On some network cards, such as the Realtek 8125B, this option is reset on boot. This means that out of the box, there is no graphical method to persistently enable wake on lan on an Unraid machine.

There are workarounds, such as using the user scripts plugin to run a script to execute the appropriate commands, however this has the con that the setting is dependent on the array being brought up successfully to re-enable.

This feature should be relatively trivial to expose graphically and would ideally tell the user that this requires appropriate BIOS and/or NIC configuration.
