L2ARC for ZFS pool

Hi,

I have two zfs pools. One all SAS suds for vm/docker/appdata etc. Second one is 4X6tb SAS HDD’s for main storage.

32GB of RAM of which 16gb is assigned to a Windows VM and 3.84gb assigned to zfs arc. I don’t want to purchase any more ram at the moment but have a 400gb sas ssd available.

I am looking to utilise this disk as the l2arc for the main zfs hdd pool. How would I accomplish this? Do I have to use the unassigned devices plugin or create a new single zfs pool with the single disk and, then use CLI to bind that disk to the storage pool.

Thanks
