all data drives showing unmountable: unsupported or no file system after successful parity disk replacement and rebuild

Featured Replies

long couple days with my server...

parity drive died. ordered a new one... was on the road, got an email from power company saying they were killing power... was able to remote in and shutdown everything cleanly.

got home, rebooted, parity drive was disabled. stopped array. unassigned the parity disk. shut down system. installed new drive, rebooted. Stopped array, assigned the new drive to parity, started array.

parity rebuild happened (fun 24 hours).

started array when rebuild was done. Dockers are all visible and working it seems. SMB shares are visible on windows machines on the network. didn't think anything of it.

Checked it before bed, drives all are green, but the data drives have the "unmountable: unsupported or no file system" message.

diagnostics attached, screen grabs attached.

found this https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/manual/storage-management/#drive-shows-as-unmountable

tried it on disk one. attached the error.

xfs_repair: /dev/md1p1 contains a mounted and writable filesystem

fatal error -- couldn't initialize XFS library

but i need to head to bed. any idea on how all 4 data drives can have the same error? and next steps?

Did you try just rebooting again?

This issue is usually caused by using Firefox, a reboot should fix it, also update to latest stable.

ok, reboot fixed it. I didn't want to shut it down without input, not knowing what was going on.  The reason i havent updated is the last one broke zerotier between my two locations, and once i got that working again i didn't want to risk it breaking again...

thanks for the replies.
