How to add a disabled disk and do not rebuild disk data, because this disk not have error?

Featured Replies

hardware : 1 Parity disk
                    4 data disk (2 disk (sdc, sdf)connect pcie to sata card)

unraid version: 6.12.3

problem step: 1. I have a pcie error let me lost disk sdc, and i reboot system sdc marked error flag

                     2. I thought it`s sata data line`s bug, so I changed sata line

                     3. and I remove disk sdc, start array and stop array,and then stop all service and add sdc disk to rebuild array
                     4. in the process of rebuilding, i lost my disk sdf, now i know my pcie to sata card error

                     5. so i changed my pcie to sata card and reconnect the two disk

question :    now i have tow disk in error status,(sdc rebuild not completed, sdf in error status but data no lost),how to set sdf to normal status and continue to build sdc data?

                     I thought sdf just marked error  but not have true error,if i can set this mark to normal and start array,sdc can be rebuild,but I do not know where has this flag,how can I change this flag;

You can try to force enable disk1 to rebuild disk2, depending on the filesystem you are using it may work but need a filesystem check:

-Tools -> New Config -> Retain current configuration: All -> Apply
-Check all assignments and assign any missing disk(s) if needed
-IMPORTANT - Check both "parity is already valid" and "maintenance mode" and start the array (note that the GUI will still show that data on parity disk(s) will be overwritten, this is normal as it doesn't account for the checkbox, but it won't be as long as it's checked)
-Stop array
-Unassign disk2
-Start array (in normal mode now) and post the diagnostics
