Hello all im new here and with the help of a million posts from all of you I was able to put together and have my first Unraid box up and running for about a week now. Now I always search very thoroughly before I post so please forgive me if im just plain blind. I turned on monthly parity sync and its going through it as I post this.

 

Now I accidentally added files to a user share before I found out its doing a parity check. Is it ok to add files during the monthly parity check? and if not do I need to do something to fix this.

you can add files at any time.

Thankyou.  So will unraid auto parity the new items after the monthly parity check?

Or will it being adding parity to new items and do parity check at the same time in background?

Parity is updated in real time. Even during a parity check.

Parity is maintained in real time. If you are checking parity at the same time it is fine.

Once again thanks for your patience. Im having alot of fun getting this all up and running.
