August 16, 20232 yr Hi all. I finally got aroung to putting my UnRAID server on a UPS. I had the UPS connected via USB to an rPi running as nutserver, and connected my UR server to it as a Slave using the NUT Tools plugin. I set UnRAID to powerdown after being on battery for two minutes (want UnRAID to shut down gracefully and leave plenty of battery for the UPS to run my network gear and the rPi running a few critical services for as long as possible. Well, UnRAID shut down gracefully, but now when I go to boot it back up, it gets through the startup process and then shows the following messages: uNRAID Server OS version: 6.11.5 IPv4 address: XX.X.X.XX IPv6 address: not set INIT: Switching to runlevel: 0 INIT: Sending processes configured via /etc/inittab the TERM signal Running shutdown script /etc/rc.d/rc.0: INIT: version 2.99 reloading Saving system time to the hardware clock (UTC). Creating system time correction file /etc/adjtime. Waiting up to 90 seconds for graceful shutdown... I'm worried that somehow NUT is still giving my UnRAID machine a powerdown message, and I am not able to figure out how to stop it. I can access UR when in safe mode, but i don't see anything obvious to fix. Edited August 16, 20232 yr by blacklabel775 added code block formatting
August 17, 20232 yr Community Expert You can activate the syslog server to get a log that survives a reboot which might give a better idea of what exactly is initiating the shutdown. There is also the option of booting in Safe Mode which would stop the Nut plugin from loading.
