August 19, 20232 yr This is a fresh install created using the media creation tool. I get the blue unraid screen and when i select boot into the OS it starts to load. It however always hangs up part of the way through. I have been able to troubleshoot it to being something related to the RAID/SATA controller. When i remove all the hard drives, the system boots up without issue. However as soon as I plug 1 or all in it will hang at either: Triggering udev events: /sbin/udevadm trigger --action=change Updating X font indexes: /usr/bin/fc-cache -f & About the hardware: HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2 Has an onboard raid controller but im using the onboard AHCI STAT controller BIOS and iLO have been updated Im assuming something is configured incorrectly in the BIOS and/or the controller is misbehaving?
August 19, 20232 yr Author Solution Found the problem. Turns out the onboard controller was malfunctioning or no longer working. I stuck a dell perc card in IT mode into the system and it found the drives.
