February 20, 200818 yr I am having a problem with the boot startup menu. About 25% of the time, after a reboot, the boot menu will display and then instantly exit (instead of counting down from 5). It enters this command line as though someone had typed it. bzimage initrd=bzroot rootdelay=10 All I have to do is hit enter and unRAID comes up fine. I am running my USB in "slow" mode, but it seems to work fine to boot unRAID, except for this. Anyone else seeing this? Thanks! Brian
February 22, 200818 yr From what I've seen, this problem usually has something to do with the keyboard interface. It happens sometimes with my KVM when I switch around too fast.
February 26, 200818 yr Author Mystery Solved! When my computer boots, you have to press the TAB key to see the POST output. Otherwise you are just looking at a graphic. If you press the TAB key too late, it stays in the keybuffer, and then when syslinux starts, IT gets the TAB key. The behavior I described is what happens if you press the TAB key in syslinux.
