September 1, 20232 yr I have Unraid updated to the latest, but for a few releases now I am experiencing a number of problems. I see they were reported for donkeys years, so I am a little surprised. 1. Terminal and Log windows opened from WebGUI are closing themselves after about 10 seconds. Regardless of incognito/normal mode, IP or FQDN access and separate window vs a tab, Chrome or Firefox. 2. I cannot create cache only share. After hitting 'Add share' the form is cleared of data in a few seconds. No entry in syslog. ShareCacheEnabled set to YES in share.cfg. Diagnostics attached, any advice appreciated. Thanks! September 1, 20232 yr Community Expert No idea about 1) as I do not experience this issue. regarding 2) what is the name of the share you are trying to set as cache only? It looks as if you may have errors on the cache drive so you should run a scrub to check filesystem on it as it appears to be going read-only
September 1, 20232 yr Author Thanks! Scrub status is displayed as 'aborted'. Tried to run it many times. In addition in the bottom left corner of the WebGUI 'Starting services...' is displayed constantly.
September 3, 20232 yr Author Fortunately I managed to get a screenshot of the terminal window before it disappeared. For me, it is a kind of a cryptic mumble, but at least I see errors related to the cache drive (sdc). Now, I want to take this drive out and check it with tolls I actually understand. But it contains appdata and system shares having cache as the primary storage. What would be the correct way of doing this if I want the server to continue to work without cache drive and without loosing anything? Is changing the mover direction and involving it enough? Combine this with changes to the primary/secondary stotage? Start with rsync to some backup location? Thanks and regards,
September 3, 20232 yr Community Expert Solution Mover might not work if it goes ready only, just copy whatever you can elsewhere and re-format.
September 4, 20232 yr Author OK, so I was tired and managed to loose all docker data, and delete the backup I've made. All dockers behave like a fresh install now. Lesson for life - only use tools you understand, not the convenient ones. Time to move to Windows. Anyway, thanks.
