Best current method to copy data between disks (new install)

Featured Replies

Hello, I am migrating from a Windows server to UNRAID in the same chassis.  I have a couple of new hard drives that I already ran preclear on and will be setting them up with new shares.  I want to mount the old drives formatted with NTFS via unassigned plugin and copy data to the new drives with a new share structure.

I have may TBs of data to transfer.  Should I wait to enable the parity drive until after I copy the data?

Also would like to ensure the process does not fail halfway through a copy and need to restart from the beginning...

What is the best way to do this?  I saw something about Krusader but not sure if that's still current?

Thank you!

If you can it will be much faster.

Use rsync, it can easily be resumed.
