Jonsbo N2 + Topton Board: Full Build Tutorial (NASCompares)

Featured Replies

Robbie at NASCompares did a fantastic job creating a tutorial for the build of a bargain based Unraid system!!

I wouldn't buy the Jonsbo N2 myself but for those who're absolutely set on the cost-effective hot swap hardware, it's probably the best you can get at the moment if shopping for a 5 bay case or the Jonsbo N3 for an 8.

According to Robbie his next video build will be the Jonsbo N3 + Intel Core.

He's already working on it.

  • Lolight changed the title to Jonsbo N2 + Topton Board: Full Build Tutorial (NASCompares)

What kind of cabinet would you then buy?

Welcome!

An enclosure cabinet for your server?

Or you meant to ask about my preference for a computer case?

The main reason for my preference for a regular, non hot swap case is, in general, significantly less restricted air flow as compared to a similarly sized hot-swap.

The hot-swap's convenience doesn't make much of a difference to me since I don't move HDDs around all that often.

Another reason is the hot-swap's use of back planes - just another potential point of failure.

Great points. thanks.

Any cabinets to recomend then?
