September 2, 20232 yr I have only shortly studied this and I know that my share setting allow things to be across the array atm by decision made few years ago but... a) if folder..lets say G shows that thing are allocated across 5 different disks...if I set in settings that I want all the folder data to be re-allocated only to 'disk 2' will the array understand this automatically and regroup all data accordingly? Or do I need to hunt down those files manually... And if not then is the only option to remove data....save new settings and rewrite data again?
September 2, 20232 yr Community Expert Unraid never moves files/folders between array drives by itself. You would need to do this manually.
