September 3, 20232 yr Is there a way to copy the SMB share from my old active NAS over to my unraid nas without using a computer to man in the middle it? or even FTP? It's about 7T worth of data on the old box. New unraid so not sure the best way or plugin or whatever to handle this sort of task. Thanks!
September 3, 20232 yr Unassigned Devices plugin can mount remote shares. Dynamix File Manager plugin will let you work with files directly on the server, including remote shares. But rsync would probably be better for transferring that much data. You don't mention where you want the data to end up on your Unraid server. Are you familiar with User Shares?
September 3, 20232 yr Author Yeah I would just be copying it over what effectively is the default share. I'll check out those plugin's. Would I mount with the unassigned device plugin and then use rsync? Thanks for the tips!
