September 4, 20232 yr I have 9x 14TB 7200RPM SATA 6 drives in a RAIDZ1 group and 4x 2TB NVME disks for the main array and one 2TB nvme cache disk. Whenever data is moved between the NVME array (the main unraid array) to the zpool, IO wait shoots up to 50% and disk backlog is also insanely high. Is this normal? what can I do to improve this? The rest of the specs: AMD EPYC 7532 32 Core 64 thread CPU 2.4Ghz 128GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM Gigabyte mz32-ar0 Rev 3 motherboard LSI 9500 16i HBA connected to a sas3-826el1-n4 backplane using 2 ports on the backplane.
