September 6, 20232 yr What means this new log entry? Sep 6 08:08:07 Raider monitor: Stop running nchan processes I have never seen it before 6.12.4 -faxxe
September 6, 20232 yr Community Expert This is normal, I believe it happens after logging out/closing the GUI for a minute or so.
September 9, 20232 yr I think it's not normal, as it shows up every minute (see syslog). violet-syslog-20230909-1827.zip
September 10, 20232 yr Community Expert Do you have a browser opened to the GUI? Maybe it's constantly going to sleep and waking up, this is a log message added when the GUI goes idle (no more clients connected) and nchan processes are stopped.
September 11, 20232 yr I use cloudflare-tunnel in Docker, to access the GUI when I am not at home. Cloudflare Tunnel seems to keep connections alive every minute and that's why there where so many log entries. But nevertheless, Cloudflare Tunnel has a valid usecase - so how should I implement CF Tunnel in a correct way that such entries don't occur anymore?
September 14, 20232 yr Same for me and the System Log filled up to 100% Sep 12 17:28:46 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:29:19 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:29:52 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:30:26 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:30:59 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:31:32 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:32:05 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:32:38 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:33:11 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:33:44 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:34:17 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:34:50 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:35:24 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:35:57 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:36:30 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes Sep 12 17:37:03 Unraid monitor: Stop running nchan processes
September 28, 20232 yr Postulating here: If this "message" occurs when the Unraid web page senses a "disconnect" event, perhaps it's the browser's "Save resources with sleeping tabs" feature that is causing this? I put my Unraid server name in the "Never put these sites to sleep" and will check back later to see if these messages calm down. I may need to add it's IP address if I don't see these calm down (The web UI for all my *arr apps always uses the IP vs server name). The below is from Edge but Chrome has a similar option. September 28, 20232 yr Community Expert Firefox is my go to. Searching for "sleep" or "resources" in setting finds nothing. 🤨

September 29, 20232 yr I am monitoring my Unraid server WebGUI with Uptime Kuma. Every minute, Uptime Kuma sends a HTTP request to the URL over the Cloudflare Tunnel. So it's browser independent!
February 15, 20242 yr Sorry to bring this back up, but my logs are useless because of these entries. Could unraid-api or unraid connect be the cause of this? I have Home Assistant monitoring the server via unraid-api. Crazy rate! February 15, 20242 yr I found the issue... I run smokeping in docker, I killed the docker and reloaded it and all of the messages stopped.
