Unraid Server won't fully shut down anymore Unraid version 6.12.4

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently noticed that my server won't fully shut down anymore. When using The GUI or an App on my Iphone to tell the Server to fully shut down, it just stays awake but becomes unreachable, not even with a direct connection with my 10Gb Card i can access the Server to turn it off again. So i basically have to hard shut down it every time which forces a Parity check.... Maybe someone can help me to get this sorted. It seems to be happening after I changed out my Mainboard but I am not entirely sure about that.

If you have one connect a monitor and type "shutdown", then see where it stops, a photo/video can also help.

Try updating to v6.12.4 since there is a known issue with 6.12.2 and shutdown.

You didnt read the notes that state to disable the bridge if you use macvlan.

Edit: ive had to edit this so much cause i opened the wrong log file first, but yeah, disable the bridge/bridges since you do have br0 and br1.

Alright! I have disabled both bridges and bonding, maybe it's better now!

Cache filesystem crashed during unmounting, suggest backing up and re-formatting cache.

@Deadeye did you ever resolve this issue? I'm having a similar problem.  I've tried manually stopping the array and all dockers and VMs first, but it still hangs on shutdown.  The OS is completely unreachable, but the actual PC is still powered up with the fans spinning, etc.  have to hold the power button down for  5 seconds to force it off.

@slydog75

Yeah I eventually fixed the problem by resetting everything I had done wrong with my Ethernet setup! Set everything back to standard and went from there. The main problem was, that I am using 2 Ethernet cards one 10gig and one 2.5. seems like the 10gig wouldn’t let the server fully shut down when bridging, bonding! Hope that might fix it for you aswell
