Upgrading to a larger drive and old drive config i cant delete

Featured Replies

Looking for the maintenance mode box to restart my system so i can reformat a new drive. Im replacing an older drive with a bigger one. They system wont allow me to

remove the old drive id. Ive tried changing it to no disk and rebooting but array wont start and it still holds the old info. Ive already migrated the data to a different drive in the system so i have nothing to lose.

Do NOT format the drive unless you want to lose all its data.

The correct procedure to follow is covered here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI or the DOCS link at the top of each forum page.

thank you but the issue is i'm trying to replace the parity drive with a bigger one and it wont forget the old drive. the old parity was 250 GB and the new is 3TB. Ive tried restarting the array and it still comes up as "missing drive"

If you assign the new parity drive can you not start the array? If yes post a screenshot of main after doing that.
