I am looking for suggestions on the best positioning on the PCIe cards and a question about Pool devices vs Unassigned drives for my NVMe.

Here are some specs to help the discussion

UnRaid: 6.12.4
Board ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO

CPU AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core @ 3700 MHz

PCIe Slot 1 (PCIe 3.0 x16/x8)  --  Graphics card for Plex - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER

PCIe Slot 3 (PCIe 3.0 x8/x4)  --  10GB Broadcom card

PCIe Slot 5 (PCIe 2.0 x4/x3)  --  SAS9211-8I 8PORT

NVMe M.2_1(Socket 3)

Question 1

For the PCIe slots :   are there changes in positioning I should consider. It is my understanding from the documentation of the MB that M2 slots will be at PCIE3.0 X4 because of the AMD 2nd gen and therefore occupying all 3 slots does not relatively impact performance.

Am I right in my thinking ?

Question 2

At the moment Pool devices is 2 SSD 1TB and I have 1 NVMe in the unassigned  devices.  I have room to add another SSD to modify my shares accordingly.

2 SSD 1TB -- Should be used for appdata (Dockers) -Primary storage - Cache

The NVMe -- Used for VM Disks.

The new SSD to be used for downloads.

The question I have -- Should I move the NVMe to Pool devices or leave under Unassigned devices?

Thanks

NB Server Plex, file share and dockers.

other option is to buy a new board
