Featured Replies

Hello the community,

I'm a new user in Unraid and I have an problem on slowness on the drives.

I found nothing problematic in the log file.

Here my configuration

Here some benchmark

I have also tried this solution, but the cache is already active on all the drive

Thanks for your help

First note that those drives are SMR, so slow writes are expected, as for reads that benchmark doesn't look correct, disks 3 a 4 cannot be that fast, without any writes to the array start a parity check, wait 5 minutes, download and post the diagnostics.

Hello,

I have launch a parity during 5 minutes, makes in pause and extract the diagnostic in attachment. I don't know where check if they are a problem.

And here an example when I make a copy paste on little file (photo). Sometimes, the transfer was blocked during of long minutes between 0ko/s and 900ko/s

and an other test

Don't pause, grab the diags while the check is running.

The disks that are reporting +200MB/s speed is because they don't have any data yet, they will be the same speed as the others once written, it's a characteristic of those SMR disks.

thanks for your help. Here the log with the parity check ongoing.

I have the problem only on small file not with big file

Read speeds look OK for all disks.

Is this reading or writing to the server?

When I writing.

I think you are right, it's because the disk are SMR.

I sort through my photos and do a lot of cutting and pasting, and once the SMR disk cache is full, I can't do anything, because the data is copied directly on the disk.

Example if I cut and copy on other location in the server and if some files are identical

I've been duped, I bought special server disks, I'm so disgusted.

I will try to change 3 disks by other disk CMR (2 parity + 1  storage)

Now, after some copy the reading is also long
