THERE ARE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BOOT SECTOR AND ITS BACKUP

Featured Replies

I'm having the issue mentioned above.   In the forums I was reading what others have done.  They mention running dosfsck to repair the boot disk but that seems to assume I have a linux desktop.  I do not.   How can I get this resolved?

My unraid system will not boot because of this issue.    Can someone help me here?

Thanks

UPDATE:   I tried running a chkdsk /f in windows but it thinks everything is fine with the disk....

You can try backing up and re-formatting the flash drive.

This is not normally enough to stop Unraid booting :)

As was suggested a backup of the flash drive and a rewrite is often a good strategy.   A utility such as Rufus can be good in getting the flash drive formatted correctly.
