Server Crashing

Featured Replies

Hello all I just setup a fresh unraid box with a Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB of RAM, 6 8TB drives (2 in parity), and 1 2TB NVMe cache drive. The system runs fine until I turn on Docker, then it will crash after either minutes or hours. At first it was only happening once a day, it is now becoming multiple times a day. Attached is the syslog file and the last failure I had was Sept 29th, around 9:30 AM.

This issue occurs on 6.12.4 and 6.11.5. I have 7 containers, just your standard Plex, arrs, and downloaders. I have disabled various containers from running to see if it is a specific one, not the case. I have also tried downloading from different repos.

I am at a loss now and hope someone here can shed some light for me. Thanks!

You should also post Diagnostics. Attach to your NEXT post in this thread.

Start here, also try not leaving any browser window opened to the GUI, only open when you need to interact with it and then close.

I followed the guide and disabled C-States and set Power Supply Idle Control to typical current idle. I also updated the BIOS and set RAM to 3200. I powered the system on, and within 2 minutes of enabling Docker, it crashed again. Here is the diagnostic download.

Diags won't show much since the syslog starts over after every reboot, you can enable the syslog server and post that in case it shows something.

I have a syslog server stood up and it doesn't show anything. After the last fail, it just mentioned the a docker container was successfully started and then 2 minutes later the log shows standard start up stuff.

That suggests a hardware issue.
