Hi,

I've run the UnMenu Script to run a Parity Check/ReSync once a month however in the past 3 days its decided to start a ReSync Process on its own.  The Parity check comes back clean both times.

Any ideas?

Running 4.7

Just about the only way that might happen is if you lose power and the server reboots.  Do you have it on a UPS?

I thought I put it on one of the outlets that have backup power on the UPS but I'll double check as well as pull the syslog when i get home.

Yea as per what Joe said I get parity checks when the power goes out, but now I have a UPS.

Also, are you from RFD?? I'm Brandon there (we have a big RFD thread on unRAID too)

Yeap same as the one on RFD.

I think it was the power.  I checked where I plugged it in and it was only on the Surge Protection portion of the UPS as opposed to Battery Backup + Surge Protection.  I tried looking at my log but it looks like it only holds a certain amount of info.  It looks like it only had up to this mornings worth of entries.

Is there a way to have it go back a week or so?

The syslog is in RAM.  When you reboot, the prior log is gone
