October 10, 20232 yr It's been a while and I cannot recall how, but I used to be able to change the OS level display resolution of my Windows 10 VM, which is currently at 1280x800. As you can see in the screenshot, the resolution option is greyed out at its current setting. Any help would be appreciated.

October 13, 20232 yr Author Thanks for your response, although the situation spontaneously resolved itself. I don't know how. It may have coincided with a windows update.
July 22, 20241 yr SimonF Thank you! I was having this issue after migrating a Win 10 Pro VM from VMware to Unraid. I went to the current display adapter and updated the driver. then pointed it as the driver iso in the "disk drive." as soon as it installed the correct driver it popped to 800x800 then ungrayed the option. i was then able to change it to whatever i needed.
