My NAS is currently about half way through upgrading/rebuilding all of the disks for a little added context.

 

Also if someone can share what to look for to determine whether the issue is serious or not that would be swell. I'd like to be able to do the analysis on my own if possible in the future.

Can you share your strategy for determining this? I see the entries you mentioned in syslog.txt

It's quite common, just some missing info in the DMI.
