October 14, 20232 yr Hey everyone. Fairly new at this. I have been running unraid for a few months and have been loving it. And I have been having an issue with my logs filling up. wondered if someone could take a look at my log file. It has cleared on a reboot but I guess that is expected. Anyway thanks for any advice. Last night i deleted /var/log/syslog.1 and .2 in order to make plex usable and this morning the logs are full again
October 14, 20232 yr Author https://reddit.com/r/unRAID/s/FLHGvl0oME i wonder if this is contributing to my problem i so often leave tabs open pointing to unraid hmm. Does anyone know if this is still a problem
October 15, 20232 yr Community Expert It can be, possibly depending on the browser, since it's an issue for some users and note for others, I also leave a browser windows constantly open to main, and have no issues.
October 15, 20232 yr Hi, stupid question, what does it mean that your logs are filling up, what effects does it have, and how do I check if mine are too? Are we talking about Tools → System Log ?

Are we talking about Tools → System Log ? I am able to view the log size on dashboard under they system section. for me the system log would climb to 100% and then things would get flaky. plex would open and crash etc. at first i would just reboot and the log would clear and things would be fine until it spiked to 100 again.
