October 15, 20232 yr After setting up my first unraid server everything seemed to be going fine until i tried to access it in windows for the first time. If i open file explorer it sees the server but when i try to access the shares it says the network path was not found with error 0x80070035. Ive tried to search the forums and google to find fixes and tried many (enable insecure guest logon, adding windows credentials, enabling smbv1, following frank1940's PDF's) and nothing has worked. I tried to add the AllowInsecureGuestAuth registry key and i was able to see the one share i have setup one time but the next time i tried to access it, it was inaccessible going back to the previous problems. As other posts have said it doesn't appear to be an unraid problem because i can see and access the share i have through my android phone. I tried to lookup how to post any log files that might be needed but couldn't find any concrete answer. Please let me know where to find anything that might help diagnose my problems so i can post them. Thanks for any help. also unraid noob here so please go easy on me. October 15, 20232 yr Community Expert Have you tried accessing the server via its IP address rather than via its name? if you need to provide further information you want to provide your system’s diagnostics zip file as this includes both logs and a raft of information about your system setup.
October 15, 20232 yr Author Just tried again, still cant access but different error (0x80004005). Thanks for the quick reply and the info about the diag file, wasnt sure if i should post the whole zip file. vault-diagnostics-20231015-0325.zip
October 15, 20232 yr Author Just checked and I can access the shares from an older win10 pro from another pc but not from my main pc that has a new up to date install
October 15, 20232 yr Author After reinstalling widows 10 pro i figured out that it was private internet access messing with the connection. I have a split tunnel setup and changing the nameservers setting to vpn dns only fixed being able to see the shares. Hope this helps someone else.

I have been trying for DAYS to work out why I couldn't access any of my sharing stuff, and turns out that PIA split tunnel was the culprit. Thankyou so so so much.
