UnRaid not letting disk stay spun down

Featured Replies

Hey guys i've been trying to get my unraid to let me spin my disks down and when I do a manual spin down it'll stay down for around 30 seconds and then spin them back up again. I've double checked that I have nothing on my array that I shouldn't; currently only my "data" folder which contains movies/tv and then my backups folder are moving from cache to array but only when mover tells it too. I've double checked my cache dirs and it should be setup to not spin the disks as frequently as it does if that is the source of the problem; i've also got the file activity plugin which shows no signs of anything happening to cause this.

The only reason I would like to get it to spin down would be so the sleep plugin can actually activate in the evening as the past couple nights it hasn't managed too, however I have since changed some more settings so maybe it will tonight!

Any help greatly appreciated :)

I'm having the same problem as you.
My appdata, system and domains folders are on my disk1.
It seems that you need to move them to a cache SSD to solve the problem.

Yeah already did this, deleted my docker.img and reinstalled everything and deleted any extra random files in my disk1 and it still randomly writes to the array now and I sitll can't figure it out! Must be some plugin/ docker doing it or some random setting i've set somewhere!

Hi,
I received my ssd and installed it as a cache today.
This is how my shares are configured :

My hard drives now stop spinning properly after 15 minutes of inactivity, as I have set.
