"Wrong", but now "Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system"

Featured Replies

Hi.

I turned off my unraid server for over a week and when I got back and try to start the array, One of the drive showing "Wrong". I didn't even touch anything other than turning on the server and start the array.

I searched around and created new config as suggested. Now the drive is showing "Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system".

I have tried changing the cable, but still having the issue.

Can anyone help me on this? What went wrong?

I have 2x12TB Toshiba disk, 1x480GB SSD for caching. No parity.

I am still playing around with unraid and trying to understand it first before going full setup.

That may not have been a good idea, should have posted the diags at that time.

Start the array in maintenance mode and post the output of:

xfs_repair -v /dev/md2p1

I found many people had this issue, so I thought it is a common problem I am experiencing. Unfortunately the solution didn't fixed mine.

6 hours running and counting. Is this normal?

No, and not a good sign, if you don't have a backup you can try using UFS explorer to see if it can recover the data, there's a free trial that should show if anything is recoverable.

I have the backup online. What I am afraid more is this issue will happen again in the future. getting the data back will take days.

Any idea why this happened, or probably caused it?

Not without the original diags, if it happens again post new diags before rebooting or doing anything else.
