Big problem: samba shares not started?!

Featured Replies

Hi everybody, I'm running Unraid without problems till today. I think my wife has shutdown (hard) the Unraid server and now I can't get access to my smb shares.

The syslog is attached.

Kind regards,

Erwin

Syslog.txt

First line tells you samba is stopped. Samba is the method used for shares.

Go to settings SMB and make sure its enabled there.

Something is wrong with you flash drive.  Try to shut down the server cleanly and then take the flash drive to a windows machine and run a check disk on it.

After that put the flash drive back in the server and see what happens.  Give it a little while to start up then post back here (with another syslog) if it does not work.

Hi Prostuff,

Just chkdsk'ed the scandisk usb stick and booting up has given no problems (nothing to see in the syslog).

The system started the parity check and it's running at +- 85.000 KB/sec.

I will report tomorrow if some issues still arise.

Thanx!!

Kind regards,

Erwin
