E3-1230 xeon Turbo boot settings

Featured Replies

So I bought a x9scl-f+ mother board and I am wondering what others are using for the turbo boost settings.

So right now I have it set up to the factory values:

Long duration power limit 80 watts

long duration maintained 1000 ms

short duration power limit 100 watts

Looking for suggestions / feedback on what others are doing.

BTW loving IPMI

I have mine at defaults.

Straight unraid won't ever max the CPU out.

I don't think I have come close to maxing out my e3-1240 with 8 vm's

I have pegged a core or two now and then. My issue is memory or lack of.

I always say, once you go ipmi, you never go back.

There is nothing better then installing windows on a server in Houston while in Chicago from a cd in your laptop.

My unraid is on a x9scl-f

Never bothered using impi, but just took a look at it, its awesome.. never knew what it was.. but yes, now I know what it is I would never buy a mboard without it :)

Now I don't have to go down to the basement etc :)

A really great idea...
