Advise request. 90% Rebuilding disk 1. disk 4 went down. Now what?

Hi Everyone,

First time posting on the forum so apologies if the format is not optimal.

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding disk 1 within my Array. It is currently at 90%+ but I noticed my write speed dipped to the kb/s. After a further look I noticed that disk 4 has been blasting the OS with errors. I would assume that this is the culprit for the slow write speed of my array.

Thing is, my disk 1 is still in the process of rebuilding. I only have 1 Parity disk so I'm assuming that the parity could only work to replace 1 drive at a time. What can I do to at least finish rebuilding disk 1 so I don't lose much data? I'm hoping to leave everything as is until the 1st disk is fully rebuilt, and then move onto fixing disk 4.

Below is the error I'm getting on the culprit drive.

 I/O error, dev sdd, sector 3642513952 op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x4000 phys_seg 162 prio class 2

Cancel the rebuild and post the diagnostics.

Thank you for the reply. I guess I was on the lucky side cause the rebuild completed and after further testing it doesn't appear I have lost any important data.

There will likely be some corrupt data, unless by luck the read errors coincided with empty space on the rebuilt disk.

After testing all the files. Can confirm I have used all the luck I have for the next six months! I would close the thread but I'm very new to the forum and not sure how I can do this.
