Docker Update Check Frequency Setting?

Featured Replies

Is there a setting somewhere for how often Docker checks for updates? I have a server at work that seems to always find updates to containers long before my home server does. Just curious if this is a user-adjustable setting.

Thanks!

I would also like to know this, and I'd love to have an option to configure this.

That's why I am digging out this old thread found via Google ;)

How often you're notified of updates and the frequency the system checks for updates is not the same thing.

This is an old problem for me and the way I described it (two systems getting updates at different rates) is not an issue anymore.

However if there was a way to set how often the system checks for docker container updates I think is what @Asghan is asking about.

It both triggers the check then notifies if there are updates.

It does both the check and then notification if there are updates.

Ah, I stand corrected! Thanks!

Thanks a lot!

But to be honest, I was strongly expecting this setting to be somewhere in the "Docker" part of the settings, not the notifications.

Thanks again!
