Unraid dropping connection

Featured Replies

i seem to be losing my connection to server. I will be watching a movie or moving files and all of the sudden i lose the shortcuts. At first i thought i was just on my Macpro, but while watching a movie on my WDTV Live it happened again. I have looked at the syslog and it looks like the system is restarting (without actually rebooting).

i have the following addons installed

unmenu

  with the .ds removal package

plex

i have attached my syslog.

thank you

I am assuming you connect via SMB, yes?

I haven't experienced any issues with b12 with Mac nor NMT vis SMB, however, with NFS, there is a huge issue trying to maintain a constant connection to unRAID at almost every minute interval which leads to the periodic warning messages by OS X Finder that the NFS share is no longer connected and do I want to disconnect from it.  Eventually, the connection will be reestablished on its own if I do nothing, but this interruption leads to stuck video playback, error-ed out file transfers and inaccessibility to "blocks" of files/folders during reads.

yes, i am connecting smb.

while watching a movie saturday night (a standard definition) the file would stutter, then at the end of the movie (about 15 minutes to go) it just stopped. then sunday night i watched a tv episode and a HD movie without complaint.

at this time i just have no idea what is going on. i will keep watching my syslog and trying to recreate the issue.
