Expand Mirror Pool By Add New Mirror VDEV

Featured Replies

I currently have a zfs pool called main. The pool is currently a single mirror vdev. I would like to expand this by adding a new mirrored vdev. It doesn't seem to allow me to do this through the GUI. When I stop the array, add both new disks to the pool. It will not allow me to re start the array and says invalid configuration.

I have added the two devices manually through the CLI and the disk are successfully added. But unraid will not me allow to start the array. I assume because the gui part is not matching the actual zfs pool layout. I had to remove the new mirrored vdev to get the array to start. Attached is an example of how I want it to look and how it did look before I had to remove the new vdev

It should have, but now cannot see what the problem was.

Assign all devices to a new pool, there should be a blue icon for all, leave the filesystem set to auto, and start the array to import the pool, if it doesn't mount post diags.
