I'm currently having an issue where I can't add anew share. When I click "add shrare" it opens a blank tab with my ip/update.htm. Attached is my diagnostics I downloaded.

Thank you for any and all help

You need to format the disk first, next to array start/stop button.

You appear to have file system corruption on disk1 so it has not been mounted.    That drive does not look at all healthy as it has 32 reallocated sectors and  8024 Pending Sectors.   On a healthy disk you would expect both of these to be 0.

Normally with a corrupt file system we would recommend doing a check filesystem and repair, but I am not sure that will succeed with the dtive in its current state.

in terms of best way to proceed perhaps you can tell us:

  • Do you have decent backups of your data?
  • Do you think parity is valid?
  • have you had unclean shutdowns recently?

Thanks both for your quick responses.. I will format the disk and see if the issue is resolved.

@huytuan124I assumed this was a new install, since disk1 is not mounting due to an invalid partition, if this is not a new Unraid install don't format the disk.

And even if it is a new install, format will not fix a disk that is too bad to be used in your array

Is that disk supposed to have data on it?

Usually we prefer to repair the filesystem before rebuilding, but since the disk is so bad, it might be better to rebuild to a new disk then try to repair the filesystem on the new rebuild.
