Unraid not responding every few hours

Featured Replies

Hi all

Thanks for your help in advance

I've been running unraid for about 6-7 months. Late it is unexpected becoming unreachable.

The start light stays on the system, but the GUI, and the network drives all fail to connect.

I was on 6.11 when it started few weeks ago. I changed to ipvlan but the system kept crashing.

I had since updated to 6.12 but the problem persists.

I'm not sure why this is happening and how to fix it.

I'm not greatly IT skilled. I picked few things here and there with help the of internet and some helpful people.

Appreciate any help and prefer if ELI5.

Attached the diagnostics and systemlog

Thanks

Thanks.

I have enabled the syslog server already. The attached tower-syslog is the system log download after the last crash (after the syslog had been enable for couple of days).

Is that what you are asking for?

The syslog you posted is the regular syslog, it starts after every reboot, it's not the persistent syslog.

I see a logs.db file, a logs folder, a logs.db-shm, and logs.db-wal file in the location for the syslog download.

Not sure which are secure and which are okay to post. Which one would you like me to post please. Thanks

The persistent syslog will be wherever you chose for it to be saved in the syslog settings.

Thanks. I hope I attached the correct file this time.

Coincidentally, Unraid hadn't crashed or become unresponsive since I posted this question.

Not sure if the issue resolved itself or I just was being lucky in the last couple of days.

Sorry, I'm having difficulty uploading the log as it was failing in the middle (? too big - 110mb) .

I'll wait and see if the problem returns.

zip it. Text compresses extremely well.

Thanks for your help. The problems appeared to have resolved itself. I have no idea how, but the system had been fine since I posted this (a continuous 6 days run without becoming unresponsiveness vs about twice+ a day unresponsiveness).

So, I guess it's kinda solved for now!

Will post a new one(?) if the problem returns (hopefully not).

Didn't feel markings a solution is appropriate in this case. So, do I close as resolved, and how do I do it?

Thank you
