September 27, 201114 yr I got one the last time Newegg had a deal. It's a fun toy tool to have around, not just for monitoring hardware temps either. I've used mine to check the effectiveness of my home and car AC and to find spots where my house's insulation is suboptimal. I expect lots of other uses will come to mind.
September 27, 201114 yr Very good deal. I typically use the one I have for various temp readings. It saved my but one day when towing. I thought my rear differential was getting too hot and sure enough this confirmed my fears. When I got back I bought an improved differential cover and put synthetic gear oil in. Problem solved.
