Usb drive failed, Error when trying to recover key

Featured Replies

Hello!

I woke up to unraid alerting me that my flash drive is corrupted and/or damaged. (Ive had to recover from backup once before so I'm not surprised). So I decided to backup from local to a NEW flash drive, and copied my config folder to NEW flash drive.

My problem is i cannot recover my license key. Following this guide it says there should be a "replace key" button but it is not there. I then searched the forum and someone said to try to use Unraid Connect to recover the key, then I get this message:

Error

tldr; old USB failed, cant get license key on new USB drive.

Make sure your old key is in the /config folder and that it's the only key there, if there are multiple keys installed there won't be a replace key button.

I had 2 keys in there when I first tried (basic & pro keys) - causing an error. I removed the basic key leaving only the pro key in /config. Unraid prompted to replace the key, and it blacklisted my old USB drive GUID.

Thanks for your help JorgeB
