I'm getting dozens of segfaults hourly just when the mailer script has to run. I'm fairly new to linux and have no idea what could cause this.

Sep 28 05:47:01 MicroServer kernel: crond[25597]: segfault at b78c251c ip b78c251c sp bf8a6524 error 15 in ld-2.11.1.so[b78c2000+1000]

Attached the syslog I hope someone can give me a hand here. i'm running 5b12a

Happen to know someone that had this every hour as well....

Tower kernel: crond[9750]: segfault at b77f851c ip b77f851c sp bfd45814 error 15 in ld-2.11.1.so[b77f8000+1000]

I finally found the source of my error! It came from S.N.A.P. I deleted the SNAP folder on my USB stick and this caused it. So I uninstalled the program completely and the error was gone :)

cron runs many scripts once an hour.  It sends mail based on the output of those scripts to "root"

cron expects to see a valid executable as "mail"  (shell scripts will not work)

Interesting that SNAP caused the errors.

I don't have snap installed, but when I removed the mailer script, the error still continued. Rebuilt my unraid from a backup, installed almost every package but the Transmission related ones, the error was gone. Installed Transmission, the segfaults are back. :(

Check out the new installs packages for transmission and especially shellinabox if you are running it.
